Sweet Potato & Carrot Bites

These warm, oven-baked bites are naturally free from all major allergens and made with simple, nourishing ingredients. Soft and easy to chew, they’re perfect for toddlers, preschoolers, and school-aged children.

You’ll need:

  • 1 large, sweet potato, peeled and diced
  • 1 medium carrot, peeled and chopped
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp ground flaxseed (optional, for texture and fibre)
  • A pinch of garlic powder, paprika, or dried parsley (optional)

How to make them:

  1. Boil or steam the sweet potato and carrot until soft (about 10–12 minutes).
  2. Mash together in a bowl until smooth but still textured.
  3. Stir in olive oil, flaxseed (if using), and any seasoning.
  4. Shape into small balls or coin-sized patties.
  5. Place on a lined baking sheet and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway, until lightly golden.
