Dietitian’s Allergy Tips

  • Gluten allergy in the classroom? Opt for a gluten free granola or use a crunchy whole grain rice cereal.
  • Can’t do seeds? No problem, try mashed banana or another fruit puree instead.
  • Other toppings with low risk for allergens include: coconut flakes, dried fruit and oats.
  • Looking to further boost nutrition? Try sprinkling some chia seeds, hemp seeds or ground flax seeds to introduce some omega-3 fatty acids which contribute to brain health.
