Make your own Boo-nana Ghosts! A fun, allergy-friendly snack that helps children eat, grow, and thrive!
Bananas and blueberries provide natural energy, fibre, and antioxidants to support focus and immune health. Dairy-free yogurt adds calcium to help build strong bones.
You’ll need:
- 4 ripe bananas, peeled and cut in half
- 1 cup dairy-free yogurt (vanilla or plain)
- Fresh blueberries (for eyes and spooky smiles)
- Popsicle sticks
Instructions:
- Peel and cut each banana in half.
- Insert a popsicle stick into the cut end of each piece to make a “ghost pop.”
- Dip each banana into dairy-free yogurt until evenly coated.
- Press in blueberries to make spooky eyes and smiles.
- Place on a tray lined with parchment paper and freeze for 30–60 minutes, or overnight for an easy make-ahead treat.
Why we love it:
- Blueberries add antioxidants to support immune health and focus.
- Dairy-free yogurt provides calcium for growing bones, without common allergens.
- Nut-free, egg-free, dairy-free, and gluten-free, so they are safe for every child to enjoy
Tip: Let children help dip their bananas and press on the blueberry “faces.” It’s a fun, hands-on way to make healthy eating feel exciting.
